Intended Audience

This program is geared towards all audiences.

Overview

Effective, engaging e-learning programs can be created with nothing more than PowerPoint and some creativity. Jane Bozarth provides a fast, fun session on making magic with PowerPoint. Participants will look at ways of eliminating bullet-based content and replacing it with a meaningful treatment, making better use of art and animations, and incorporating solid instructional design principles to support development of good online training.

Jane Bozarth, MEd, is E-Learning Coordinator for the state of North Carolina’s HRD Group and the author of Better than Bullet Points: Creating Engaging E-Learning with PowerPoint; E-Learning Solutions on a Shoestring: Help for the Chronically Underfunded Trainer; and From Analysis to Evaluation: Tools, Tips and Techniques for Trainers. A popular, dynamic workshop presenter, Jane is a winner of the Rooney Award for Innovation in State Government, a Live and Online (LOLA) Award, and a Training Magazine Editor’s Pick Award. She lives in Durham, NC, USA with her husband, Kent Underwood and really, really, is finishing her doctorate this fall.
