Responsibilities SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Organizational Development (OD) Specialist has responsibility for assisting in the facilitation of the company’s cultural transition and implementing programs that develop a performance driven culture. The OD Specialist works closely with business unit managers to identify needs, and provides oversight to the design, development, and implementation of agreed upon strategies. In addition, the OD Specialist is responsible for refining, implementing and monitoring performance management processes and programs, integrating Lominger competency models and tools, assisting in the design and development of 360 assessments as well as facilitating them, designing and developing supervisory and management development training programs and other OD interventions to build organizational and individual capabilities.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Facilitates advisory committees, task forces or action learning teams to develop strategies and initiatives to improve leadership competencies and operational performance.
• Works alongside corporate and field management to execute strategies and actions needed to build a cohesive company culture.
• Collaborates with management to identify key competencies and behaviors required for success in each critical job.
• Designs and develops and facilitates supervisory and management training programs to fill competency gaps and develop skills for front line managers and leaders.
• Refines existing performance management tools and designs an implementation approach for rolling out a company-wide performance management system. Initiates the automation of these tools as appropriate.
• Provides on-going management and ensures continuous process improvement of the Performance Management process and program. Creates process performance metrics; tracks and reports results.
• Conducts training and coaches managers and staff on performance management processes and tools.
• Participates in talent review process, ensuring that leadership profiles are current and that development planning is completed.
• Coaches managers on how to build effective development plans and follow up activities.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

In addition, the individual must demonstrate the ability to value people and strength in building relationships both within the Learning & Development team as well as with corporate and field operations. As a leader, the individual must be able to share the organizations vision, be proactive, demonstrate customer focus and become an agent for change. As a Learning & Development team member, the individual must be resourceful, have a demonstrated drive for results, be a quick study, make appropriate decisions – often on the fly, and be skilled at driving change.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• BA/BS degree required.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in developing and facilitating organizational development, performance and management development programs
• Proven capability in organizational development using competency-based models; Lominger certification preferred
• Ability to demonstrate practical application of organizational development concepts and tools
• Direct experience in designing and implementing large scale performance management programs
• Hands on experience with designing, developing and implementing management development programs
TRAVEL: 40-50% travel required.
