Intended Audience
Anyone who is contemplating or in the midst of a job change in the workplace learning field within our service area.

Overview of SIG
The Transitions SIG provides information on career planning and job search tools, industry updates, sharing job leads building a professional network and mutual support.

Specific Program

June 24, 2010: Mock Interviews
When you only get one chance to make the best impression, practice is the key to success!

There are no speakers for this event. There will be two HR representatives who will conduct initial 1:1 interviews. Please bring a copy of your current resume and a copy of a job description you are interested in or have recently applied for. Be prepared and/or willing to give a 30-second elevator speech.

We will have two HR Representatives from the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center volunteering their expertise.

Currently working as Recruiter in non-profit healthcare industry (Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center). Worked in Human Resources in the retail industry (Macy's) for over 9-years. HR experience includes training, policies, benefits & disability, employee relations, investigations, HR Management, and recruiting. During my spare time I like to volunteer at the Oregon Zoo and teaching interviewing classes at a men's homeless shelter.

Also on hand will be Doody Boliba who is the interim HR Manager at the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center. Doody is a full spectrum HR professional with progressive experience in diverse organizations from start-ups to industry leaders. She most recently worked as an HR Manager for Applied Materials.

CPLP Recertification Credit
