"Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well." ~Voltaire
This past week I handed off responsibility of coordinating the volunteer program to Anna Meiners. This makes Anna the new Chair of the Volunteer Committee. She will do an incredible job and this will allow me to focus on my responsibilities as the Director of Member Services.
As the outgoing volunteer coordinator, I want to take this opportunity to recognize all of the amazing people who have volunteered their time and energy to the Chapter over the past few years. It has been an honor to work with each and everyone of you and I look forward to watching the volunteer program thrive under Anna's watch.
We as a Chapter have been truly blessed to have so many dedicated people who are committed to our success as being the leading resource for workplace learning professionals. From handing out name tags at events, to helping put the conference together, the volunteers are the life-blood of our organization. We couldn't do what we do without them.
So thank you - you know who you are - for helping to make us such a wonderful community to be part of. I have a friend who says that, "Service is life, and good service is good life." Our volunteers are a living example of the truth and power behind this message. It is their passion, energy, and service that keeps us going and makes us what we are.
On behalf of the Board and our members, thank you!
